When I was a student in Chicago, every day at lunchtime I would head for Ellis Avenue, where a platoon of food trucks parked to feed the huddled masses. There was Jamaican food, halal food, Asian food. But nothing beat the Mexican food, served by half a dozen different trucks each offering half a dozen different meats, in corn tortillas, topped with onion and cilantro, wrapped in tin foil. Best devoured standing.
