William and Vicky Looney of Grand Mound will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, with a trip to Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks and a family gathering.
Vicky Vens and William Looney were married Sept. 3, 1971, at Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church, Grand Mound.
Mr. Looney was engaged in farming and was a rural mail carrier out of the Eldridge Post Office.
Mrs. Looney was employed at Ag Spectrum Company in DeWitt.
They are the parents of four children: Brenda (Chris) Oehler of Cedar Rapids, John (Rachael) Looney of Wheatland, Melissa (Robert) Pence of Cedar Rapids, and Kurt (Karleen) Looney of Lost Nation.
They have 11 grandchildren: Lucy and Sara Oehler, Lucas, Jacob and Drew Looney, Colin and Margaret Pence, Emerie, Brandon, Allison and Layna Looney.
