Gary and Diane Laake of Park View will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on April 2.
Diane Christensen and Gary Laake were married March 25, 1972, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport.
Mr. Laake was a teacher for 41 years and has been a coach for 49 years and counting. He retired from teaching at Davenport Assumption High School in 2015, and continues to coach golf.
Mrs. Laake was a registered nurse for 45 years, and retired from UnityPoint Rock Island in 2016.
They are the parents of Andy and Michelle Laake of Davenport, Ang Pieper of Eldridge, and Alyssa and Layne Marti of Donahue.
Their grandchildren are Kyle and Ashley Laake, Mackenzie Pieper, and Dylan and Lydia Marti.
