Fighting the Cold War in Italy; peace triumphed in Trieste

My mind, on Veterans Day, returned to my role in the Korean War. Because the USA and the Russians were not fighting a war in the way the word had been used traditionally, the term Cold War was coined. In some places, however, traditional war did break out, as in Korea, but we tend to forget that this “Korean War” was actually a part of the Cold War.
