Carter bonds out three hours after Sunday arrest

An Eldridge man is out on $25,000 bond following his arrest Sunday on a felony sex abuse charge involving a child.

Eldridge police arrested Cory Glen Carter, 54, following a complaint of an 11-year-old about a 3 a.m., Sunday incident at Carter’s home in the 100 block of Price Street.

Carter has a March 19 preliminary hearing on one second-degree sexual abuse charge, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.

Jail records show he was booked 11:54 a.m., Sunday, and bonded out at 2:48 p.m. the same day.
