Donald E. Jones, a resident of Princeton, celebrated his 80th birthday with a family dinner on June 17 at Mo Brady’s Steakhouse in Davenport. He was born June 17, 1940, in Davenport. Don married Mary Lou on March 9, 1963, at First Christian Church in Moline. She was promoted to heaven in 2016. Don retired from Case-IH in 1992. He has been engaged in farming and has operated his trucking business, Donald E. Jones and Son Trucking, for more than 60 years. Don has been blessed with three children: Lynn Jones (Jeff Brimeyer), Lori Shaffnit, and Don (Sharla) Jones, along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
