Denny and Jean Ulloa celebrating 50 years of marriage Nov. 21

Posted

This is Denny and Jean 50 years ago!

Jean Elizabeth Hunter married Dennis Joseph Ulloa on Nov. 21, 1970, at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Davenport.  They resided in Davenport for a short period before making the North Scott area their home, living in both Park View and Eldridge.

Dennis worked for Oscar Mayer, retiring in 2001, and Jean worked at the Friendly House, retiring in 2006. Jean and her hunk, Dennis, have four children, Kara (Jim) Kemmerer, Natalie (Troy) Kruse, Alisa (Chad) Haedt and Joe (Angie) Ulloa.

They also have 13 grandchildren who they follow tirelessly to all their activities, making it to every event possible. Their grands are truly the light of their lives. They will be celebrating in a very small, private way at this time, but post-COVID, expect a blowout celebration for these two, because their kids want them to have the party they deserve!

Jean also turned 75 on Nov. 15, so this month is doubly blessed. As Jean likes to say and live by, “When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.”

Please join us in wishing them a very happy golden anniversary and 75th birthday!!! Here’s to many more! Cheers!
