A funeral service for Thomas Charles "Duke" Verhelst Jr., 55, of Bennett, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Friday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. The Fry Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Verhelst died Friday, June 26, new New Liberty, as a result of a sudden physical ailment resulting in his car leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree.
