Live music and food Friday; Games, music, food and fireworks on Saturday

Blue Grass Days return Friday and Saturday to launch Scott County’s summer festival season with live music, games, rib eyes and fireworks on Saturday.

Food vendors offering rib eyes, Philly cheeseteak sandwiches and Mennonite half-chickens begin at 4 p.m. Friday, June 4.

Opening ceremonies at 6:45 p.m. are followed by The Nuclear Plowboys band performing 7-11 p.m.

Saturday, June 5 events begin at noon with family games and food. Jenny’s Dance Academy kicks off performances at 1 p.m. Quad-City Prospects perform 3-6 p.m., and Quad City Rock Academy students play from 6-7 p.m.

Wicked Liz and the Bellyswirls concert is 8-11 p.m., with a break for fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
