Bill is the father of Shelie (Dennis) Kirby, Tony (Angie) Saladino, and Patty (Paul) Seyller. He has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Bill was born Aug. 6, 1935, to Anthony and Lillian Saladino. He married Geraldine Stoltenberg on Oct. 4, 1958. They shared 46 years of marriage together until Geraldine passed in 2005. Bill attended Walcott and Eldridge schools until eighth grade, when he quit to help on the family farm. He enlisted in the Army and served from 1955-1956. He then worked for Caterpillar for 19½ years until the plant closed. Bill then worked part-time for the City of Eldridge until retirement, but his love has always been farming – he has helped several area farmers over the years.
