Aug. 23, 2006: Maysville residents were preparing to celebrate the community’s 150th birthday with a day of activities including a cemetery walk, wagon tours, a historical program, entertainment, and a beef sandwich dinner. Dorothy Fischer and Ruby Ferris also prepared a booklet on the history of the town, which was platted by steamboat captain James May in 1856.
