May 21, 1997: John Glenn principal Joe Ragona “inaugurated” the school’s new playground equipment with a ceremonial spin down the new corkscrew slide. Ragona credited members of the PTO with “thinking big” when it came to fundraising for the equipment. The old equipment was donated to the Donahue Sportsmen’s Park.
