May 27, 1982: The North Scott girls’ track team placed fourth at the state meet. Team members included Karla Dies, Wendy Bare, Wendy White, Alice Darland, Lisa Finnegan, Kim Reese, Connie Holst, Dana Hillyer, Kim Schneckloth, Shelly Kapinski, Deb Volrath and Pam Ewoldt. They were coached by Steve Schroeder. Volrath took second in the 100-meter hurdles, and Hillyer set a school record and took third in the 400-meter hurdles, running in 1:04.61.
