Jan. 11, 1995: The Iowa 80 Truckstop unveiled Phase One of a planned $4-million expansion. New projects included a 7,500-square-foot Truckers Warehouse Store, and a 12,000-square-foot expansion to the Iowa 80 Kitchen. The restaurant also underwent a complete face lift, doubled its seating capacity, and added a 62-seat banquet room. more
Dec. 28, 1994: V.O. Figge and the Figge family, and heirs of Henry Kahl donated the Kahl Building and Capitol Theatre in downtown Davenport to Scott Community College. SCC president Dr. L.E. Stone said the building would be renovated into an educational center for undergraduate business students. They hoped to have the building ready by the fall of 1996. more
