Helen J. Lang-Brumm, 95, of Wilton, formerly of Bettendorf, died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at the Wilton Retirement Community.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant.

She was laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Helen was born in Paris, Illinois on Oct. 3, 1923 to Everett and Nina (Flint) Holcomb.

Helen married Paul D. Lang on June 18, 1941 in Clinton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1981. She later married Merle Brumm on Oct. 4, 1997. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2009.

She was a teacher’s associate for 21 years at the Bettendorf Community Schools.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, reading and puzzles. She loved traveling and camping.

Helen is survived by her children: Lynann (Larry) Hasselbusch of Stanwood, Lavonn (Don) Schumaker of Stockton, Larry (Jean) Lang of Rockford, Illinois and Lanny (Carol) Lang of Tempe, Arizona; stepchildren: Bonnie (Larry) Edwards of Colorado and Keith (Wendy) Brumm of Ham Lake, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and brothers: Lawrence, Robert and Jack Holcomb.
