Frederick J. “Rick” Kiernan, 72, of Wilton, died on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
There will be no visitation or service. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Rick was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on Sept. 23, 1946.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Rick was an over the road truck driver for 40 years. He was a member of the Wilton American Legion.
Rick married Carol L. Zook on Jan. 31, 2009 in Hiawatha.
Rick is survived by his wife Carol; son Michael King of Mesa, Arizona; daughter Tamara Kiernan of Roy, Washington; stepchildren: Travis Wacker of Wilton, Kyle (Samantha) Wacker of Oxford Junction and Lea-Anne Zook of Anamosa; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
