Frances Roberta Usher, 98, of Muscatine, died on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Wilton Retirement Community in Wilton.
Private family inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in her memory.

Frances was born in Muscatine County, near Conesville on Sept. 16, 1919 to Lazelle and Juliaette (Elmore) Babbitt.
She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1937. She recently attended her 80th high school class reunion.
Fran married John Virgil Usher on Jan. 24, 1942 in Napoleon, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1992.
In early years, Frances worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine. She enjoyed needlework.
Fran is remembered by her sister Jacqueline Cole of Durant, her brother Byron Babbitt of Fork Union, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Betty Viner and her brothers Freeland and Frank Babbitt.
