Curtis C. Newcomb, 56, of West Liberty died March 28, 2020 at his home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the West Liberty Community Center.

Curt was born Sept. 24, 1963 in Iowa City. He graduated from West Liberty High School in 1982 and received his associate degree in electronics from Hamilton Tech College. He married Lisa Noring on April 28, 1984 in West Liberty.

Newcomb was employed with True Value/Brook Enterprises for 13 years. In 1997 he began working with Ron Alpen Ford.

He was a member of First Church United and West Liberty Fire Department, where he served as chief from 2000-2009, assistant chief, and trustee. He was also a member of the ambulance for 35 years; West Liberty Lions Club, serving as president, and West Liberty Booster Club as former president. He enjoyed his grandchildren and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Lisa; his sons Sean (Katie) of West Liberty, B. J. (Sarah) of Grimes and Zachary (Leslie Torres) of West Liberty; two grandchildren Logan, Libby, and baby Newcomb due summer of 2020; parents Charles and Louise Newcomb of West Liberty; sister Chris Newcomb of Dumont; father-in-law Wayne Noring of West Liberty; and his dog Hawkeye.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and mother-in-law Audrey Noring.
