Marolf-Rogers wed in California July 27

Caitlin Elizabeth Marolf and Nathaniel Christopher David Rogers, both of San Diego, California, were united in marriage July 27 at the Green Gables Wedding Estate in San Marcos, California.

 The bride is the daughter of Ted and Deborah Marolf of Wilton and the granddaughter of the late Harlan “Hy” and Nancy Marolf of Wilton and the late Jeanna Axelrod of Lisbon and Jack Garvin of Pauma Valley, California, formerly of Atalissa. 

 The groom is the son of Robyn Lebron of Harshaw, Wisconsin, and Christopher Rogers of London, UK.  His grandparents are the late Ben Klutsenbaker of Whidby Island, Washington and the late Lola Klutsenbaker of Harshaw, Wisconsin and of Aileen Rogers and the late David Rogers of London, UK. 

 The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and wore a Badgley Mischka full-length ivory crepe georgette mermaid gown, with a lace bodice and train. She wore a cathedral length Italian tulle veil. 

Caitlin carried an antique brooch bouquet that incorporated over 100 heirloom brooches from both the bride and groom’s families. The bouquet was custom designed and each brooch individually placed and attached by local artisan, Allison Stoll, on a hand-built custom framework made by her husband, Art Stoll.

The bridal party included: Maid of Honor, Amber Barss of Benson, Arizona, Bridesmaid Jessica McGinnis of Salt Lake City, Utah, Melissa Marolf of Moscow, and Christina Rogers of San Diego, California. Best Man, Jason Parker of Benson, Arizona, and Groomsmen Eric Anstadt of Arlington, Virginia, Tal Macagon of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Kyle Peterson of Washington, D.C. The Ring Bearer was Ray and the Flower Girl was Zella. 

 The couple’s wedding date was also that of the bride’s parents, Ted and Deborah Marolf of Wilton, who were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary.

The wedding reception also took place at Green Gables Wedding Estate in San Marcos, California.

The bride is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California with a Bachelor of Architecture and is employed as senior project manager at Ware Malcomb Design Firm in San Diego, California.  The groom graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics and is employed as a project engineer by Quartus Engineering also in San Diego, California.
