Herman Baker 90th birthday open house to be held Oct. 13

Herman Baker, formerly of Wilton, is celebrating his 90th birthday. Please join his family at an open house on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Walnut Park Baptist Church, 215 Colorado St., Muscatine, in honor of the event. Refreshments will be served. No gifts, please.

Herman proudly served in the U.S. Army and is a Korean Veteran.

Dr. H.C. Baker was the veterinarian of large and small animals in Wilton for over 25 years. He built Sunset View Pet Hospital to accommodate his growing practice. He served on the Wilton School Board, the city council, the Wilton Development Corp. and other organizations in order to help build and grow the city of Wilton.

Herman now resides in Muscatine with his wife Lynn. His children are: Regeana (Jim) Arrowood, Kirk (Lori) Baker and Renee Grady.

His grandchildren are: Tanya (Greg) Stephens, Tyler (Alyssa) Arrowood, Kyle (Denise) Baker, Kathleen (Dan) Nietzel, Natalie (Clay) Finley, Ryan Grady and Nathan Grady.
