Dori Martin of Davenport will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Durant Community Center on July 22. All friends and family are invited to attend. No gifts, please.

Dori Lenker was born on July 16, 1928 on a farm outside of Wilton. She married the late Ron Martin on Oct. 25, 1947 in Wilton. She was employed by Davenport Community Schools for 13 years.

Dori enjoys line dancing, quilting and water aerobics, often with friends made over the past 32 years while she wintered in Apache Junction, Arizona. She proudly met her goal of being a 90-year old lady who still mows her own grass and would like to develop a new goal.

Dori is the mother of Dennis (Sigrun) Martin of Silverton, Colorado and Susan (Scott) Wearn of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

She has five grandchildren: Jason (Shelby) Martin, Matt (Amanda) Martin, Alex Wearn, Caroline (Quin) Cogdell and Philip Wearn; and five great-grandchildren.

Greetings may be sent to Dori at 3816 Woodland Court, Davenport, IA 52807.
