Private E-2 Carter Voelkers, the son of Tim Voelkers of Durant and Teresa Ryan of New Liberty, graduated Oct. 24 from U.S. Army basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
He is attending AIT training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, studying to be a 15F Aviation Electrician. He will graduate in March of 2020.
Carter is a 2018 graduate of Durant High School. He is pictured with his dad.
