Remy Elise is the name selected for the girl born to Eric and Rachel Vela of Muscatine. Arriving on Jan. 14, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Remy weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 16.5 inches long.
She was welcomed by two siblings, Reece, 14, and Max, 11.
Remy’s grandparents are Steve and the late Dianne Dalbey, Lupe Vela, Susan Vela and David Newcomb Sr. and Bonnie Thurston Dalbey, all of Muscatine.
