Dale and Laura Bird of Montpelier celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Machine Shed on Sunday, June 2. Laura Lee Mulvihill and Dale Bird were united in marriage on June 6, 1964 at New Era Church in Muscatine.
Dale was employed at Oscar Meyer in Davenport for 37 years. Laura was employed at Heinz in Muscatine for 28 years.
They are the parents of Duane (Mary) Bird of Davenport, Joseph (Trisha) Bird of Walcott and Leslie (Scott) Miller of Montpelier.
They have seven grandchildren: Tyler Hill, Logan Gross, Dylan Gross, Paige Bird, Reece Bird, Mason Bird and Jade Miller.
