DES MOINES — U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar returns to Iowa for a 20-county tour of the state, culminating in the Iowa State Fair where Klobuchar will speak at the Des Moines Register’s Political Soapbox and take in all the fair has to offer.
Klobuchar will visit the following 20 counties during her Heartland Tour: Polk, Greene, Carroll, Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Hamilton, Hardin, Marshall, Benton, Johnson, Iowa, Linn, Cedar, Jones, Clayton, Fayette, Bremer, Butler and Cerro Gordo. At the conclusion of this visit, Klobuchar will have visited 46 of Iowa’s counties.
On Aug. 8 at 3 p.m., Klobuchar will visit Grow: Johnson County at 4811 Melrose Ave. in Iowa City, where she will take a tour and meet with beginning farmers. Later that evening, at 8 p.m. Aug. 8, she will host a meet and greet in Tipton at Monty’s Pizza and Grill at 310 Cedar St.
