The 63rd annual Timmerman reunion was held at the New Liberty Fire Department shelter Aug. 11 with the Leon and Alice Timmerman family hosting. A potluck meal was enjoyed by 60 descendants and five guests followed by a social afternoon.
The oldest present was Dolores Timmerman. The oldest descendant was Marlene Fox and the youngest was Mira Eloise Harder, the daughter of Katy Timmerman and Don Harder, granddaughter of Dennis and Cheryl Timmerman. There were seven additional births recorded: Bryant Lee Martens, son of Tony, grandson of Brian; Kallen Baldemar Timmerman, son of Jeremy and Kristina, grandson of Kent and Amee; Wesley Robert Timmerman, son of Christopher and Payton, grandson of Brian and Denise; Benjamin Cade Walker, son of Torey and Nick, grandson of Karl and Shelly Timmerman; twin girls, Brynn Louise and Alexandra Florence Sanders, daughters of Jessica and Michael, granddaughters of Florence and Bob Cruse.
There were three weddings: Colin Caes and Calli O’Dell, June 13, 2019, son of Tom Caes; Lindsey Caes and Dustin Pilgrim, July 5, 2019, daughter of Tom Caes; Trae Timmerman and Maggie Adams, Oct. 14, 2018, son of Kent and Amee Timmerman, grandson of Dolores Timmerman.
Two deaths were recorded: Thomas A. Carlson, husband of Yvonne Gipson, son-in-law of Marjorie Gipson; Christopher Lambert Caes, husband of Krista, son of Ken and Joan.
Towns in Iowa that were represented were Bennett, Calamus, Camanche, Cedar Rapids, Charlotte, Clarence, Davenport, Dixon, Iowa City, Lowden, Maquoketa, Massillon, Maysville, Morning Sun, New Liberty, Tipton and Walcott. Also from Chicago and Monee Illinois and Mooresville, North Carolina.
The 2020 reunion will be hosted by the Julius and Martha Timmerman family on the second Sunday of August.
