Soy-Sorensen vows exchanged at Olde St. Ann’s

Emily Soy of Eldridge and Colby Sorensen of Park View were united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2018, at Olde St. Ann’s Church, Long Grove. Kellen Moss, a friend of the couple, officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

Katie Soy served as maid of honor. Ashley Kravchuk, Karly Soy, Taylor Cherveny, Haley Soy, Shelby Sorensen, Erica Horsfield and Joey Heimendinger were bridesmaids. The flower girls were Abbie Frantz and Andi Soy.

Cameron Sorensen served as best man. Keenan Feldpausch, Dan Hlad, Noah Gumpert, Ryan Schelin, JD Pumphrey, Matt Strzelczyk and Gage Zobrist were groomsmen. The ring bearer was Skyler Neugent Zobrist. Jake Soy, Vadim Kravchuk, Nick Heimendinger and Andy Heimendinger served as ushers.

Abby Branigar and Isaac Branigar provided music for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Starlite Ballroom at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

Emily is the daughter of Stacey Soy and Chris and Michelle Soy, all of Eldridge. She is the granddaughter of Gary and Dianne Heimendinger. She is a 2013 graduate of North Scott High School and a 2017 graduate of St. Ambrose University. She is employed as a nanny to four amazing little girls in Des Moines.

Colby is the son of Chuck and Deana Sorensen of Park View. He is the grandson of Don and Donna Zobrist. He is a 2012 graduate of North Scott High School and a 2017 graduate of Grand View University. He is employed as a health and wellness specialist with Farm Bureau in Des Moines.

Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Des Moines.
