Charles and Charlene Roenfeldt on Blue Grass will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Jan. 27. Friends and relatives may call from 5-11 p.m. at the Blue Grass Community Club. No gifts, please.
Charlene Rae Moore and Charles Lee Roenfeldt were married Jan. 27, 1968, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Davenport.
Mr. Roenfeldt was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1995 after 31 years. Mrs. Roenfeldt was employed at Headquarters, AMCCOM, in Rock Island, retiring in 1999 after 27 years. They also owned and operated the Bread Man Bakery in Blue Grass for 10 years.
They are the parents of Steven (Jennifer) Roenfeldt of Fruitland, John (Dianna) Roenfeldt of Blue Grass, and Heidi (Matt) Barnes of Davenport. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
