Our Past: Ground broken for Hardee's

April 7, 1993: Gary Olson of Hardee's Restaurants, along with Eldridge mayor Bryan Roesler, city administrator John Dowd, and Eldridge chamber president Tom Leiting, gathered to break ground for a Hardee's Restaurant south of LeClaire Road and west of Highway 61 on land purchased from Gene Schneckloth. Olson said that Hardees would be making a $900,000 investment in the community and would employ 35-45 people.
