A memorial service for Shirley F. Haugen, 71, of Bettendorf, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
Ms. Haugen died Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at UnityPoint Medical Center, Bettendorf.
Shirley Swacker was born Aug. 18, 1946, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Lilias (McGrane) Swacker. She graduated from Waukon (Iowa) High School.
She married Jim Haugen. They later divorced.
She worked as a dental hygienist for almost 15 years. She also worked at HyVee for 11 years, and Mickey’s Country Café for five years.
Her hobbies were bowling, spending time with friends, family, and her longtime companion Dave Hausner, and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Jason Haugen; Jessica Raaen; a grandson, Corbin Leander; and a sister, Sharon Streich.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Swacker.
