A funeral service for Robert Joel Paulsen, 71, of Davenport, was held at noon on Monday, Jan. 27, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Monday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Paulsen died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Robert Paulsen was born Nov. 18, 1948, in Rock Island, the son of Chester and Marilyn (Scott) Paulsen. He graduated from Davenport Assumption High School.
He served in the U.S. Army for six years after being drafted in the Vietnam War.
He married Judith Kleppe on July 30, 1977, in Davenport.
His hobbies were spending time with family and friends, fishing, cooking, and listening to music.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Anthony (Renee) Paulsen; his stepchildren, Chris (Wendy) Lobdell and Curt (Marianne) Lobdell; his grandchildren, Jacob Paulsen and Keegan Paulsen; and a brother, Daniel Paulsen.
