Ralph J. Stuhr, 92, of Davenport, formerly of Bennett, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. A private family graveside service was held in Davenport Memorial Park. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Ralph Stuhr was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Bennett, the son of William and Edna (Stuehm) Stuhr.
He married Rose Harder on Nov. 23, 1949, in Bennett. She died June 30, 2016.
He and his brother Howard owned and operated Stuhr Construction.
Survivors include his children, Barbara (Dale) Voss, Wilton, and Dean (Michelle) Stuhr, Huston, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Conrad; and a brother, Howard Stuhr.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Marcus Dann; a step-grandson, Albert Lohse; his sisters, Norma Wilkening and Elda Rixe; and a brother, Elmer.
