A memorial service for Norma Marie Stoltenberg, 96, of Bettendorf, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. No visitation will be held. Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Stoltenberg died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, at Manor Care, Davenport.
Norma Yager was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Chicago, the daughter of Ira and Helen (Canfield) Yager.
She married John Stoltenberg Jr. on Sept. 27, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death.
She retired from Assumption High School after 20 years of doing all the baking in the kitchen.
Her hobbies were going to the casinos, playing bingo, arts and crafts, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Crafts (Denny Heiar); her son, John (Kathy) Stoltenberg; her grandchildren, William (Diane) Crafts Jr., Dawn (Steve) Watters, Kyle (Angela) Stoltenberg, and Claire Norvell (Bruce Dunn); nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Sprott.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Warp; and brothers-in-law Conner Stoltenberg, Arlo Warp, and Earl Sprott.
