Obituary: Noble Denison

A committal service for Noble E. Denison, 96, of Davenport, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Denison died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at Bettendorf Health Care Center.

Noble Denison was born July 2, 1923, in Fairfield, the son of Robert and Ella (Shondell) Denison.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He married Dorothy Lewis on Oct. 14, 1941. She died in 2018.

He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar, retiring in 1985.

His hobbies were traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, James (Patricia) Denison, Sarasota, Fla., Maryella (Donald) Wallace, Davenport, and Robert Denison (Patti Smith), Paris, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers.

Memorials may be made to Bettendorf Health Care Center.
