Private family graveside services will be held at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, with a public Celebration of Life to be held at a future date. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Nancy was born on Dec. 31, 1932, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Mark and Frieda Katherine (Barron) Jones. She earned her degree in music from the Iowa State Teachers College and was an accomplished pianist. On Aug. 12, 1956, Nancy was united in marriage to Donald W. Anderson of Burlington. Together they owned and operated Quality Plate and Negative in Davenport, and The Copy Shop in Rock Island. Over the years, Nancy shared her love of music with numerous students.  She taught K-12 music in local schools and years of private piano lessons to both children and adults. One of the highlights was working as an accompanist at Bettendorf High School, as well as with the school’s music theater department. Nancy also directed Choir and Bells at Faith United Church of Christ, Davenport, where she and Don were long-time members.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Jody Rhinehelder of Dallas, Texas, Marcy (Tim) Dixon of Tennessee, and Karey (John) Carlin of DeWitt; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Rhinehelder, Rochelle (Rob) Kolar, Erin Perry, Matt (Chantelle) Dixon, Teisha Jacobi, Jessica (Mitch) Cleveland, and Shayla (Austin Wamsley) Carlin; and 12 great-grandchildren, Angelina, Hadleigh, Faith, Connor, Emmett, Alexa, Avery, Maddox, Grady, Ada, Kallie, and Josie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and her sister, Joan Hutson.
