Obituary: Marvin Noll

A funeral service for Marvin A. Noll, 90, of Davenport, will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 25 (today), in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mr. Noll died Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.

Marvin Noll was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Davenport, the son of John and Annie (Schreck) Noll.

He married Mildred Howell on Oct. 1, 1949, in Davenport.

He was co-owner of S&N Royal Blue Market with Harry Shannon. After leaving the grocery business, he worked with Crescent Baking and Northwest Bank.

He was a longstanding member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a longtime member of the Iowa Grocers Association, was on the country school #6 reunion committee, and belonged to several card clubs.

His hobbies were working in the yard, raising vegetables, watching sports, and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife; his sons, Roger (Paula) Noll, Cabot, Ark., Rick (Tammy) Noll, Davenport, and John (Gina) Noll, Clive; and his granddaughters, Annie and Elizabeth Noll.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vera, Helen and Nora; and a brother, Elmer.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to Camp Courageous.
