Obituary: Marilyn Otts

A funeral service for Marilyn Faith “Sweet Pea” Otts, 82, of Davenport, was held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mrs. Otts died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019.

Marilyn Gott was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Gomer and Cecil Pearl (Bradwell) Gott.

She married Jimmie Otts on April 15, 1967. He died in 1991.

She worked for many years as a teacher’s aide at Adams School.

Her hobbies were singing karaoke, playing bingo, dancing, going to the casinos, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Otts; her sons, Jimmy (Suzanne) Otts, and Toby (Becky) Otts; her grandchildren, Josh Cross, Dylan Otts, Melissa (Corey) Condon, Austin Otts,

Dakota Otts, James Brinkman, Kaitlyn (Mitch) Seifert, Kirsten Otts, Tao Otts, Halle Store, Josey Carlson, Jenna Carlson, Quentin Miller, and Brandin Jones; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vivian Guile, Marcela Lucas, Evelyn Erickson, Betty Thompson, and Gracie Dalton; and her brothers, Kenneth Gott and Gene Gott.
