Obituary: Letha Marie Pennel

A celebration of life service for Letha Marie Pennel, 76, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Peterson Funeral Home, Aurora, Mo. Visitation was one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Marionville, Mo. A luncheon was held at the Faith Worship Center in Aurora following interment.

Mrs. Pennel died Sunday, June 2, 2019.

Letha Marie Harmon was born March 18, 1943, in Aurora, the daughter of Floyd and Ruby (Hubbard) Harmon. She graduated from Marionville High School in 1960.

She married Darrel Pennel in 1962.

She was a homemaker. In 1987, she moved to Mesa, Ariz., and opened Love’s Touch, a cleaning service.

Her hobbies were playing games, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin Pennel, Mesa, Kent (Cari) Pennel, Long Grove, Keith (Sissie) Pennel, Bemidji, Minn., and Khris (Sheryl) Pennel, Englewood, Ohio; her grandchildren, Courtney, Sarah, Hallie and Luke; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Sue (Fred) Houston, Aurora.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil Harmon and Henderson Harmon; and a half-brother, Loyd Buchanan.
