Visitation for Larry E. Miller, 71, of Davenport, was held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded, and private family burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Miller died Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
Larry Miller was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Davenport, the son of Donald and Patricia (Dwyer) Miller. He graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1965.
He was in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam.
He married Nancy Weiford on Dec. 5, 1970, in Moline.
He was employed at Caterpillar for 20 years, and then at Heart of America before his retirement.
His hobbies were golfing, fishing, and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Holly (Cory) Mosier, Davenport; a son, Josh (Marci) Miller, Phoenix, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Cydney Price (Jordan Johnson), Caleb Mosier, and Nathan Mosier; a great-grandson; his mother, Patricia Hines, Ruth, Nev.; his stepmother, Margaret Miller, Davenport; and his siblings, Jerry Miller, Jeffrey (Penny) Miller, and Brenda Kisner.
He was preceded in death by his father.
