A funeral service for Katherine P. “Katie” Enfield, 102, of Davenport, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 (today), at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Enfield died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Katherine Pierson was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Sherrard, Ill., the daughter of Axel and Ida (Danielson) Pierson. She married Louis Adams. He died in 1944. She later married Theodore Enfield on Sept. 21, 1945, in Chicago. He died in 1982.
She worked for over 15 years at the Rock Island Arsenal and later worked in the catering business for several area businesses, but was a homemaker at heart.
Her hobbies were sewing and cooking.
Survivors include her children, Norman (Beverly) Adams, Eldridge, and Patricia Hancock and Dean Enfield, both of Davenport; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, James Adams, and eight siblings.
Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children Transportation Fund or to the HDC.
