A funeral service for Joseph R. “Bob” Stevens, 76, of Davenport, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Legacy Baptist Church, Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation was Wednesday, July 25, from 4-6 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
Mr. Stevens died Monday, July 23, 2018, at the Kahl Home.
Joseph Stevens was born July 12, 1942, in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Irene (Lear) Stevens.
He married Nancy Marlow on June 30, 1962, in Mark, Iowa.
He worked for Caterpillar for 24 years.
He was a member of Legacy Baptist Church.
His hobbies were tinkering with cars and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Robin (Stephen) Dowell, Rebecca (Ron) Smith, Mark Stevens, and Michael (Amy) Stevens; 12 grandchildren; three sisters; and three brothers.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
