A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date for Jeffery “Lanier” “Driver” Plies, 60, of Davenport. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Plies died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019.
Jeffery Plies was born Feb. 6, 1959, in Ottumwa, the son of Garland and Joyce (Bartell) Plies.
He was formerly married to Sally Enoch on May 18, 1979. They later divorced, and she preceded him in death. He later married Dawn Mutum in October of 2004, and they also divorced.
His hobbies were motorcycles, horses, golfing, racing motocross, playing pool, and watching sports.
Survivors include his children, Jeffery (Tara) Plies, Tiffany Postell, Nicholas (Sasha) Plies, and Emma Plies; his grandchildren, Kourtney Postell (Josh Stearns), Kylee Postell, Parker Friedrich, Tyler Plies, Arrianna Plies, Brylan Allison, Skyla Patton, Alex and Ben Plies, and Baylen Allison; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Joyce; and his siblings, Tony (Debbie) Plies, Tammy (Ken) Jacobs, and Todd Plies.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
