Obituary: Janice Schneckloth

A private memorial celebrating the life of Janice K. Schneckloth, 76, of Eldridge, was held Friday, March 15. A celebration of life is being planned in preparation for her final resting spot with family in Wyoming.

Mrs. Schneckloth died Sunday, March 10, 2019, at her home.

Janice Voss was born April 27, 1942, in Worland, Wyo., the daughter of Wayne and Mae Voss. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1964 with a bachelor of arts degree in education.

She married James Schneckloth on Aug. 31, 1963.

She taught in Deaver, Wyo., and Lovell, Wyo., before the family moved to Eldridge in 1973 to start a life in agriculture.

Survivors include her husband; her daughters, Kimberly (Joe) Romic, Winnetka, Ill., and Tracy (Casey) Newell, Minneapolis; a son, Jed Scheneckloth, Eldridge; her grandchildren, Justin, Isabella and Victoria Romic, and Sam, Ben and Liam Newell; and a sister, Barbara Schafer, Casper, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Voss.
