A funeral service for Imogene “Jean” Keppy, 88, of Eldridge, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20 (today), from 4-7 p.m. at the mortuary.
Mrs. Keppy died Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Imogene Haut was born Feb. 24, 1931, in Davenport, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Haut.
She married Al Keppy on May 6, 1952. He died March 27, 2000.
She worked at GM Insurance before moving to the family farm with her husband. Later in life she worked as dairy manager at Slagles in Eldridge.
Her hobbies were sewing, creating floral arrangements, gardening, crafts, crocheting, playing Bingo, going to the casino with friends, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Bruce (Lois) Keppy and Patty (Kevin) McClung; her grandchildren, Greg (Ann) Keppy and Steve Keppy; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie McCabe; and a sister-in-law, Marion Haut.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank (Betty) Haut, Fred Haut Jr., Patricia (Paul) Whitmyer, and Gary Haut.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
