A funeral service for Hilda D. Bluedorn, 101, of Davenport, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Monday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bluedorn died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Manor Care, Davenport.
Hilda Bruhn was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Cedar County, the daughter of Adolph and Agnes (Huettmann) Bruhn.
She married Arthur Bluedorn in 1939. He died in 1965.
She and her husband farmed in Plainview. She also worked for the Mississippi Valley Fair and the voting polls, and did babysitting and meal preparation. She lived in Maysville before moving to Courtyard Estates in Walcott.
Her hobbies were gardening and playing 500.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Marie Bruhn, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers George, Waldo, Harry and Elmer.
