A celebration of life service for Gloria June Leander, 92, of LeClaire, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Davenport. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Leander died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019.
Gloria Bell was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Anamosa, the daughter of Myron and Clara Bell.
She married Robert Leander on Feb. 14, 1945. He preceded her in death.
She worked at Petersen Harned Von Maur for over 23 years. She and her husband also helped her son and daughter-in-law build Olathea Golf Course, where she worked in the clubhouse for over 31 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport and the Mohassan Grotto. She had also volunteered with Genesis Hospital Auxiliary and the Buffalo Bill Museum.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (John) Mueller; a daughter-in-law, Susan Leander; her grandchildren, Travis (Julie) Mueller, Jessica (Field) Hudnall, and Jami Leander; and a sister, Joanne Carstens.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy; a grandson, Jason; and a brother, Jim Bell.
