Gladys M. Seifert, 94, of Davenport, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and services will be held at a later date. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gladys Brinkman was born July 26, 1924, in Massillon, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Gregg) Brinkman.
She married Alvin Seifert in Davenport. He died in 2011.
She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after many years of service.
Survivors include her children, Dr. A. Ron (Julie) Seifert of Washington, Russell (Sandi) Seifert of Florida, Judith (Fred) Meyer, Blue Grass, and Norman (Lorna) Seifert, Long Grove; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Laura Brinkman.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet; a grandson, Matthew; her sisters, Wilhelmina Dettman, Elsie Becker, and Agatha Hamdorf; and her brothers, Elijah, Harold, Burdette, Merle, Floyd, Harlan, Raymond, Roy, and Orville.
Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
