A funeral service for Frieda Lydia Braet, 99, of Davenport, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Braet died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.
Frieda Wulf was born April 6, 1920, in Walcott, the daughter of Henry and Lydia (Eckstein) Wulf.
She married Henry “Hank” Braet on Jan. 25, 1939, in Davenport. He died March 9, 2003.
She was a homemaker.
Her hobbies were cooking, playing cards, dancing, bowling, fishing, and going to the casino.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Lori (Dan) Fisher, Davenport, and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Melvin (Gail) Braet; a granddaughter, Wendy; her sisters, Martha Wulf, Florence Pries, and Ruby Petersen; and her brothers, Fred, Elmer, and Ed Wulf.
