Edward Donald Micka, 68, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at his home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should plan to meet at the Runge Mortuary by 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was born in Harlan, Ky., in 1951, the son of Edward and Margaret Micka. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1969, and later joined the Air Force.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and playing sports.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Micka, Bradenton, Fla.; his siblings, William, Bellville, Ill., Kathleen, Fort Myers, Fla., James, Chattanooga, Tenn., Pamela, Princeville, Ill., Mark, Rockton, Ill., Deborah, Creswell, Ore., Mike, Bettendorf, and John, Waukee; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
