A memorial service for Dorothy Allshouse, 94, of Davenport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Allshouse died Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.
Dorothy Gray was born April 12, 1925, the daughter of Vern and Gladys Gray. She graduated from Davenport High School.
She worked for several decades at the beauty counter at Walgreens, and was head cosmetician at the time of her retirement.
Her hobbies were pottery, knitting, and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Johnie Allshouse and Shirlee (Chuck) Walloch; a son, Alan Allshouse; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Vern (Alice) Gray and Don (Jo) Gray.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Allshouse; and her sisters, Betty (Tony) Cook, Shirley (Bill) Smith, and Rosemary (Ralph) Gapenski.
